First practice back

Last night was awesome. To finally sling my leg over the bike again and crack that throttle to hear the roar of the KX250F felt amazing. I'm feeling a bit stiff today but I'm still buzzing.

I did a total of 3 motos all of varying length, my first being the shortest. Although I felt really good it didn't take long for the dreaded arm pump to set in. I think this is by far the hardest thing when you've had some time off the bike. I'm definitely not up to scratch fitness wise as I haven't been doing much physical activity at all but it didn't seem to affect me much. My lungs and and the rest of my body felt okay but my forearms felt like they were going explode.

Theres nothing I can do about this except ride which is a good thing because thats all I want to do at the moment.

Apart from the arm pump my speed and technique felt good. Bring on racing this Sunday!

Lets go ride

After a week of hard work we've managed to get most of our stuff in the new house, more importantly the garage is sorted which means all my bike stuff has been moved across and is ready to go.

Mason has just taken delivery of a new KXF fo-fiddy and so he is amped to go ride. The timing has been great as we're both ready to get down to some racing. Speaking of which it looks like we'll be racing on Sunday. I haven't ridden in a quite a while and not raced since last year but I figure the best way to get back into it is to just go and do a race.

Luckily tonight I'll get some practice in at Peakdale, I can't WAIT!

Moving House

No riding taking place at the moment as we're moving into our new house. I'm really looking forward to having a nice big garage to store and work on the bikes, it will be a refreshing change from 'the bike room'.

So hopefully all things going well we should be in by the end of July. As soon as I get the chance I'll be hitting a practice track, its been way to long. I also plan to do some racing before the year is out too. Regular updates to follow!

Top of the podium

On the 5th of July 2008 I got my biggest win yet. Its been a long time coming and I couldn't have done it without the support of some great people around me. My main man Daniel Clifford was on true form through out the event and the lead up to it. With all his hard work I was able to relax and focus on the task ahead.

The day couldn't have gone any better as the team and I went 1-1. What followed was an awesome after party and then a week long holiday to relax and recover. My greatest win of all time never to be bettered.
